Gary Paul Porras serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Garick Group, Inc., one of the Southwest’s largest and most respected mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors. Founded in 1977 by his late father, Gary G. Porras, and his mother, Mireille Porras, the company has grown under Paul’s leadership into a premier construction partner delivering complex projects across commercial, governmental, healthcare, educational, hospitality, retail, and industrial markets.

As second-generation leadership, Paul has guided The Garick Group through strategic expansion while preserving the company’s core values of integrity, safety, quality, and disciplined execution. Under his direction, the company has strengthened its operational systems, expanded capabilities, and reinforced long-standing relationships with national and regional clients.

A native of El Paso, Texas, Paul remains deeply committed to the community. He currently serves on the Texas Tech President’s Development Council, the El Paso Community Foundation Board of Directors, the Coronado Country Club Board of Directors, and the Advisory Council for Affordability & Access at the University of Notre Dame.

In recognition of his business leadership and civic impact, Paul was inducted into the El Paso Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement of El Paso — one of the region’s highest honors for entrepreneurial achievement and community contribution.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Edward’s University. He credits his success to the support of his family and his faith, and he remains committed to advancing Garick’s legacy while investing in the continued growth of the El Paso region.
